Finishing up Melbourne Attractions

Thursday 28 October 2010

At 6:30 am, a fire alarm went off. Alison and I took a moment, then did what we were always taught in school. We calmly grabbed our key, phone, and vital bag, and proceeded to the nearest emergency exit. We felt silly as no one else came out (except a girl with squinting eyes who poked her head out and shut the door). We got to the door and hesitated, trying to figure out if we should really open it when the alarm stopped. We kind of felt embarrassed and rushed back to the room. What a rude awakening! As we went to the bathroom, one of the showers was running with no one in it. We wondered if that is what caused the fire alarm (the steam that is).

We went to the Botanical Gardens and walked to the river. We tried to go to the Rose Pavilion, but it had a total of 5 roses. Then we went to Ian Potter Centre. It is an Australian Gallery. A lot of it was rather unique and plain strange.

So, I don't remember if I have mentioned this before, but Australia does not seem to believe in soap dispensers. If they have soap dispensers, they don't have any soap in it. We have yet to find a place that has soap!

Well, tomorrow, we have The Great Ocean Road Tour to look forward to. It sounds great.

Okay, so the first picture is the Shrine of Rememberence. The view from the top is on the pictures I posted a couple days back. The next pictures are of my bed with problems. It was interesting to sleep.
